Rules for the Silent Study Room 

  • After you have chosen your material, you can sit down and study in the Silent Study Room.
  • Please do not write on the worksheets. If you like, you can use the paper in the SCRAP PAPER BOX.
  • When you are done with the material, don't leave anything on the desks and please drop the material into the RETURN BOX.
  • Please do not reserve a seat by leaving your bag(s) on the seats.
  • No eating allowed.
  • You can work in pairs/groups provided you do not make too much noise.
  • Please do not talk on your cell phones.
  • Please leave your coats and bags in the cabinets outside in the hall, which is under camera surveillance.

Super Silent Room: (The room at the back) This room is for individual study so absolute silence is expected here.

IMPORTANT NOTE: THE MATERIALS CANNOT BE TAKEN OUT OF THE SILENT STUDY ROOM OR PHOTOCOPIED/PRINTED.

Rules for the Reading Room 

  • You need your METU ID in order to borrow books. 
  • Books and magazines can be borrowed for 1 week. You can borrow either:

                         2 books

                             or   

                         1 book & 1 magazine at a time.

  • DVD Movies cannot be borrowed. You can watch DVDs in the Computer Lab.
  • Please leave your coats and bags in the cabinets outside in the hall, which is under camera surveillance.
  • No eating and drinking allowed.

Rules for the Computer Lab

  • Leave your ID card with the SAC staff before you start using the computers.
  • Copying the material on SAC computers or using a flash disc is strictly prohibited. Please do not use a USB driver (a flash disc).
  • Do not play online games.
  • Turn off the computer after you have finished your activity.
  • Leave your coats and bags in the cabinets outside in the hall, which is under camera surveillance.
  • No eating and drinking allowed.
